An Elephant's Eye

Our garden experiment is working. Our corn has sprouted...about 2"-3" tall!

Old-timers at home used to say that your corn needs to be as tall as an "elephants eye by the 4th of July". Not sure we are going to make that, but our corn is up. Clearly Sam and Madison did not plant the rows in a straight line...

That is so surprising!? (insert cynicism here)

Sam and Maddi are both making distinctive Tony Akers faces.

Sam has the "this mission trip has gone on too long" face and Maddi has the "I am pretending to be happy but I am really worn out / hopped up on COLLLLLA" face.

Hilarious.

The "Old Timers" always said you could get more corn in a crooked row. (Ha)

Okay, after your bear story camping, Vince can one up you. He saw one yesterday on the BEACH. Wierd. We are near a big nature area and it has been fabulous for the boys and Vince. But a big black bear! Who knew.
